Basco is a Detroit-based owner-developer focused on constructing creative communities through adaptive-reuse of historic structures and ground-up development in mixed-use neighborhoods. The company has been in the forefront of developing up-and-coming neighborhoods and business districts, with a keen respect for the past and a relentless effort in place-making.
Some of Basco’s latest accomplishments include the redevelopment of the Albert Kahn masterpiece at 751 Griswold; the conversion of the US Mortgage Bond Building at 607 Shelby into a mixed-use multi-office and retail property; a complete gut-and rebuild of 220 Congress into a mixed-use tech hub; and a core and shell renovation of the historic Harmonie Club at 311 E Grand River. Basco's newest project combines three historic buildings on Broadway Ave into a mixed-use development featuring two ground-floor retail spaces and 80 residential units.
