Mercy Education Project (MEP) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1992 that provides free access to boundless opportunities for Detroit women and girls with limited resources. Programs include Adult Basic Education and GED preparation for women, after-school one-to-one tutoring and educational activities for girls grades 2-12, College and Career Readiness, technology learning, and summer camps focused on health and wellness, science, math, volunteerism, writing, and other areas. More than 100 volunteers support MEP as tutors in reading and math.
